Now, as to which e-collar you need, things get a little involved. Here, let's just say that the vast majority of pet owners will be more than satisfied with the Sport Basic G3. If you are contemplating competition with your companion dog or any degree of intermediate to advanced training, then the Sport Combo G3 is for you. For companion dog training around the house and yard, or other close-range work, at an economical price, the Sport Junior can't be beat. For gun dogs, or if you need a one-mile range and top of the line capabilities, the Pro 100 G3 EXP or Pro G3 500 EXP are the best there is.
