Tri-Tronics Discontinues 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

On 12/20/11, Tri-Tronics notified their dealers that they are no longer offering a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. That means we at Altmoor cannot offer such a guarantee on Tri-Tronics products either. The coverage for Tri-Tronics products is a limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Our customers must deal directly with Tri-Tronics in those cases. What this means to you as a consumer is that you must be certain that you are making the correct purchasing decision the first time around. We sometimes encounter customers who receive a unit and then learn that the professional trainer they work with wants them to use something different. There are sometimes customers who receive a unit and decide they want one with different features, or that they are uncomfortable using an e-collar at all. In any of these or similar circumstances, we will no longer be able to help. Your only recourse will be to sell the unit to a friend or perhaps an online auction site or similar. We regret that we can no longer assist our customers in such matters, but be assured that we will always go to every extent to make sure that you are purchasing the correct unit.

The standard manufacturer’s warranty on Tri-Tronics products is a 2-year limited warranty on all Sport, Field, and Pro Series products and their receivers. Products covered by a 1-year limited warranty include all Bark Limiter products, all Beeper products, and all Tracer products. We feel that this change in policy by Tri-Tronics and Altmoor about returns of Tri-Tronics products does not make them less desirable in any way. Tri-Tronics continues to produce the highest quality products, with the features that we prefer. And, they are the only major e-collar manufacturer still making their products in the USA, which means a great deal to us. All this policy change means is that, before making your purchase, you must be confident that you will use the e-collar and that you are getting the most appropriate model the first time around.
